Committed to protecting the rights of individuals, families, employees, retirees, professionals, farmers and small businesses they provide specialist advice across a range of areas including Family Law, Injury Law, Commercial Disputes and Business Advice, Unfair Dismissal, Conveyancing, Wills and Estate administration including disputed estates.

We are currently recruiting for a Legal Administrator to join their team in their small regional office in Strathalbyn. This is a varied role and you will work with the professional team of lawyers and support staff to keep the firm running smoothly and efficiently.

The role:

Tasks include, but are not limited to -

  • Reception duties including answering and allocating incoming phone calls;
  • Greeting clients and other visitors on arrival;
  • Co-ordinating conference and meeting rooms;
  • Providing administrative support to the Paralegal and Legal teams;
  • Record keeping for client matters including file opening, custody and archiving;
  • Client liaison including arranging meetings, witnessing documents and client follow up on return of documents;
  • Scanning of incoming & outgoing mail;
  • Invoicing and accounts and debt management;
  • Ordering stock;
  • Photocopying and Filing;
  • Other general administrative/reception duties including maintaining presentation of the Reception area, receiving deliveries and ordering stock.

Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a corporate environment;
  • Accounts experience desirable;
  • Professional phone manner;
  • High level computer skills (MS Office suite);
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
  • High level customer service skills;
  • Strong work ethic and shows initiative;
  • Excellent time management and organization skills;
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously.
