About the role -

As a Lawyer, you will oversee and be involved in a wide range of matters from beginning to end. You will:

  • Have a hands-on role in dealing with a busy but extremely interesting and diverse caseload;
  • Advocate for your clients and not be afraid to get 'stuck in' and attend in Courts and Tribunals on a regular basis;
  • Receive instructions and provide advice to clients about their matter and relish the opportunity to be provided with sufficient autonomy to run your own file load but also be in a team that allows problems to be solved collaboratively;
  • Settle a range of legal documents;
  • Guide clients through the legal process;
  • Engage in client development and contribute to the ongoing growth of the firm; and
  • Report to the Partners with respect to service and advice being provided to clients.

Being part of our agile legal practice means we deeply value your input to help refine processes and ensure the best delivery of service to clients. Being able to adapt to ongoing changes in the legal industry and have a solution-based mindset is key.

Therefore, you will be able to -

  • Take ownership of your work;
  • Be responsible for the service and turnaround times for matters;
  • Oversee other staff involved in your matters;
  • Have strong analytical and written communication skills in order to provide a high level of legal assistance, be highly organised and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to appear as an advocate in court;
  • Use your initiative to ensure best outcomes for clients; and
  • Be able to continually embrace change.

Remuneration is negotiable and will be commensurate with experience.
