Their many decades gives them extensive experience and an in-depth understanding of all industry sectors. Their product is Australian made and Pioneer Water Tanks (SA) continually develop construction and installation processes to offer clients the most practical and dependable water storage solutions.

Pioneer Water Tanks (SA) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Sales Consultant to join their close-knit team. The successful candidate will have proven sales experience and be a motivated person who loves the challenge of converting leads to sales. Reporting to the Managing Director and Sales Managers, this role is responsible for developing and optimising selling opportunities within our territory and promoting Pioneer Water Tanks (SA) to our customers and referral agents. This role is primarily office based with telephone calls being the main point of contact with clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to enquiries
  • Providing quotations in response to enquiries and tenders
  • Understanding and assessing client needs and providing suitable solutions
  • Converting leads to sales
  • Customer relationship management
  • Co-ordinating after-sales service and referral system
  • Ensuring Customer database (CRM) is up-to-date at all times
  • Assisting with the development of advertising activity, media releases and ‘advertorials’
  • Field Day attendances and promotion as required
  • Stock Ordering as required
  • Providing assistance and backup to the Operations Manager if/when required

Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role or industry
  • A thorough understanding of sales processes, preferably including tender preparation
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan and create sales opportunities to maximise sales and perform effectively
  • Results driven with proven ability to meet KPI’s and sales targets
  • Intermediate level of computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Current driver's license
  • Forklift license (or willingness to obtain)
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Confined Space Ticket (or willingness to obtain)
  • Other tickets and inductions as required
