General Insurance Claims Consultant – Contract/Part-Time/Casual

Our client is a successful Australian Insurance Underwriter, servicing a nationwide network of insurance brokers. The business offers a wide range of insurance products across both residential and farming portfolios. This is a highly autonomous role where you will have responsibility for managing a portfolio of multifaceted claims, on an end-to-end basis.

Our client is now seeking an experienced claims specialist, to join their team of dedicated professionals on a contract/part-time/casual basis, but must be Monday to Friday.

To be successful in this role you will understand the importance of being able to personalise each interaction, be professional, inquisitive and respectful. Your ability to listen with understanding and empathy, identify useful information and proactively find solutions will really set you up for success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provision of specialist Claims and Event knowledge and expertise to customers
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop innovative solutions
  • Advocate, educate and inform customers
  • Provide a flexible and adaptable claim and event service to customers
  • Deliver efficient and effective claim and event solutions and services
  • Handling all aspects of the claims process including settlement of claims within authority limits and reviewing files
  • Effective claim file management
  • Ensure all relevant legislative requirements are met
