4WD Accessories Fitter & Fabricator

Our client is a SA family-owned and operated store, specialising in 4WD accessories and the fitment of roof-rack systems, cargo barriers and van fit-out solutions. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced Fabricator / 4WD Accessories Fitter.

We are seeking an organised and self-motivated individual to join this close-knit team where you will be recognised for your experience and contribution to the business. Applicants should possess relevant previous experience in fabricating and fitting 4WD accessories. On-site training will be provided.

The role will involve:

  • Liaising with the team and customers
  • Fitment of roof rack systems (Rhino, Thule, Rola etc.)
  • Van accessories and cargo barrier installations
  • Sheet-metal fabrication and welding
  • Receiving and despatching of goods
  • Assisting with heavy lifting

To be successful you will possess the following attributes:

  • Mechanical/fitment knowledge and experience (preferably with Rhino, Thule, Rola products)
  • Manufacturing experience with part-fabrication and welding
  • Current industry knowledge and awareness
  • Forklift licence an advantage
  • High level of safety awareness
  • Excellent communication skills and phone manner
  • Team player, with a flexible, enthusiastic approach to working in all facets of the business
  • Motivation and enthusiasm to achieve deadlines
  • Strong sense of initiative and ability to be responsive to customer and business needs
  • Current driver’s license and ability to drive a manual vehicle

The successful applicant will be extremely motivated, keen to learn and will have the ambition and drive to provide a high level of quality services to our customers in all aspects of the business.

Interested candidates must be familiar with the 4WD market and possess a genuine interest in furthering their knowledge and experience. The successful applicant must be available to work full-time, 8.15 am to 5.15 pm Monday to Friday, with a rotating Saturday roster of 8.15 am to 1.00 pm and after-hours training when required.
